Model Number: TERNRAFT
1.2m x 2.4m x 200mm polystyrene floatation layer encapsulated in tough 6mm and 9mm thick recycled plastic sheet with a 75mm gravel tray on the top. The unit is screwed together with stainless steel screws. The raft is supplied with temporary wooden bearers for manoeuvering.
The raft has stiffening vertical supports and cross members which help to prevent gravel from moving around too much due to the rocking action of the waves, since the gravel pits and reservoirs where these rafts are used are often surprisingly choppy!
This model is supplied without the mink proofing for situations where there is low risk of predation from mink, which makes the raft much cheaper and easier to assemble.
Used successfully by the Thames Water, Wildlife Trusts, and the RSPB among others.
This item is made up against order with a lead time of 2 weeks.
Please note that this product is shipped on a pallet and will need a fork lift or similar to unload, or enough people to handball the item off the vehicle. Please call us to discuss your delivery requirements.
Gravel is not supplied with the raft, we estimate that you will need about 300kg per raft (equivalent to 12 standard sacks).
Anchors and ropes / chains are not included but there are four stainless steel anchoring points which allow plenty of scope for anchoring the rafts.
